Welcome to our tenth newsletter for 2023.
We have returned from our
trip to Tasmania. Though
we all picked up coughs
and colds, it went well
and was very relaxing. We
recommend Penguin, Gordon
River, Russel Falls, Bay
of Fires, Cradle Mountain
and Wineglass Bay as the
highlights, should you be
planning a trip there.
Thanks to all the
instructors that filled in
for Liz and my classes
while we were away.
Thanks to everyone that
attended our Birthday
Social. Super thanks to
Liz and her catering team
that did a massive job to
get all the meals out hot
and delicious. Thanks also
to all the instructors
that attended and also
assisted on stage with the
walk throughs. We went
overtime because of the
dual walk throughs (front
and back), but no-one
seemed to mind and there
were still many there
right through to the end.
We have finished
evaluating the effects on
classes due to Johnathons
imminent departure, and
three classes will have to
close due to lack of a
replacement instructor. It
is unfortunate, but it was
not a circumstance that we
had planned for. The rest
of the classes will
continue next year with
replacement instructors.
Plans for next year's
resumption of overseas
travel tours is well
underway with 17 people
currently locked in. There
is still a couple of
cabins on hold should
anyone wish to join us,
but airfare arrangements
are now complete, so there
is very little time left
to guarantee being on the
same flights, so don't
delay your decision if you
are thinking of joining
us.
